The ushers are the first point of contact in the Church. The department is made up of God fearing, smartly dressed people, always full of love, warmth and smiles. They Function as follows
Pre-service

- Be in the church venue 30 minutes to one hour before service.
- Prepare a safe and healthy environment.

During Service

- Welcome people to church.
- Ensure everyone is comfortable throughout the service.
- Assist special needs persons to enter and leave the church.
- Provide a comfortable temperature in the church.
- Ensure orderliness/help people to find seat.
- Provide directions to rest rooms/other facilities as needed.
- Ensure a smooth flow of late members without interfering with the service.
- Collect offering/coordinate the giving of offering .
- Take count of the number of people in service

Post-service
Re-set the auditorium.
The Hospitality team function in:
- All areas of ministry requiring use of the church kitchen (Setup, serve, clean up).
- Catering and Reception for installation of new pastors or great farewell of departing pastors.
- Preparing refreshments for church socials.
- Keeping track of all supplies necessary for such events.
- Maintaining a written log of food quantities per number of people to determine a reasonable awareness of how much food is needed for functions.
- Training volunteers in use of kitchen machinery ( food sanitation, cleanliness, health department issues etc).
- Providing hospitality arrangements for visiting pastors / missionaries / special invited guests.
